WATER-BASED

Water-based Downloadable Literature

WC – WATER-Based ACRYLIC RESIN SUPPORTED PIGMENT DISPERSION

This is an aqueous pigment dispersion based on a styrenated acrylic resin solution.  The low viscosity of this system allows for generally high pigment loadings while remaining easily pourable.  This is a versatile dispersion used to tint water-based adhesives, caulking compounds, industrial, decorative and architectural coatings, paper products, and textile inks.

WUC - WATER-BASED NON-STYRENATED ACRYLIC RESIN PIGMENT DISPERSION

This is a low VOC aqueous pigment dispersion based on an alkali soluble non-styrenated acrylic resin solution.  It is used where styrenated acrylic is not acceptable for weatherability and can be used to tint water-based automotive, industrial, decorative and architectural coatings and textile inks.

WWT – WATER-Based, RESIN FREE, LOW VOC PIGMENT DISPERSION

Resin-free aqueous pigment dispersion.  A proprietary additive package allows WWT to be compatible in systems where typical resins cannot function or may cause incompatibility. This versatile product is used to color integral concrete and industrial and architectural water-borne coatings. A full color range is available.

ADVANTAGE WBC - WATER-BASED RESINOUS AND RESIN FREE PIGMENT DISPERSION

Cost-effective black liquid colorants for various waterborne systems including coatings, paper and cardboard products, asphalt emulsions, premixed grout, and graphic arts. These products are formulated to meet the needs of the application, from viscosity, to shade, to surfactant chemistry. All Advantage WBC colorants are dispersed to a fine particle size, high in color strength, and formulated with anti-settling properties.

100% SOLIDS

EH – 100% solids epoxy based pigment dispersion

Epoxy dispersion based on 100% solids epoxy resin with an epoxide equivalent weight of 190-208.  EH is widely used to color 100% solids and solvent-borne floor finishes, industrial paints, and protective coatings. The products are designed to minimize flooding and floating in a variety of coatings formulations.  Most colors are of pourable viscosity and are specifically formulated to protect against viscosity build, for improved shelf life.  A full range of shades is available, including custom matched colors.

EHC – 100% solids low viscosity epoxy based pigment dispersion

Low viscosity epoxy dispersion based on 100% solids epoxy resin with an epoxide equivalent weight of 190-208 and a reactive diluent.  This low viscosity product line is designed for easy introduction into the final coating.  EHC is widely used to color 100% solids and solvent-borne floor finishes, industrial paints, and protective coatings. The products are designed to minimize flooding and floating in a variety of coatings formulations.  A full range of shades is available, including custom matched colors.

VAH – Phthalate-free plasticizer based pigment dispersion

A 100% solids phthalate-free plasticizer based pigment dispersion.  This dispersion typically has low viscosity, and broad compatibility and the carrier vehicle is non-reactive.  Current customers use the VAH series pigment dispersions for low-cost industrial and architectural coatings.

VC – Phthalate plasticizer based pigment dispersion

A 100% solids pigment dispersion using dipropylheptyl phthalate (DPHP) as the primary plasticizer.  This non-reactive, low viscosity product line finds use in urethane and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) based coatings, plastisol coated fabrics and calendered films.  The excellent stability and broad color range lends its use to architectural applications like roofing, traffic, and bridge coatings.  For non-phthalate applications we recommend our VPU or VAH product lines.

VPU – Phthalate-compliant plasticizer based pigment dispersion

A 100% solids phthalate-compliant plasticizer based pigment dispersion.  This dispersion typically has low viscosity, excellent stability, and broad compatibility.  Current customers use the VPU series pigment dispersions for plastisol coated fabrics, calendered films and other flexible PVC compounds where phthalate compliance is necessary.

PC – Unsaturated polyester based pigment dispersion

A 100% solids unsaturated polyester based pigment dispersions compatible with a wide range of polymer chemistries.  This product presents a low- or zero-VOC option to traditional solvent-borne pigment dispersions.  Current customers benefit from the PC pigment dispersions universally coloring gel coat, epoxy, urethane, and polyaspartic coatings.  The products are designed to minimize flooding and floating in a variety of coating formulations.  A full range of shades is available, including custom matched colors.
