Calendered Vinyl Film, Plastisol and Urethane Coated Fabric Colorants
compatible with multiple layers of film, including base coats, skin coats and topcoats
plasticizer-based
VAH – Phthalate-free plasticizer based pigment dispersion
A 100% solids phthalate-free plasticizer based pigment dispersion. This dispersion typically has low viscosity, and broad compatibility and the carrier vehicle is non-reactive. Current customers use the VAH series pigment dispersions for low-cost industrial and architectural coatings.
VC – Phthalate plasticizer based pigment dispersion
A 100% solids pigment dispersion using dipropylheptyl phthalate (DPHP) as the primary plasticizer. This non-reactive, low viscosity product line finds use in urethane and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) based coatings, plastisol coated fabrics and calendered films. The excellent stability and broad color range lends its use to architectural applications like roofing, traffic, and bridge coatings. For non-phthalate applications we recommend our VPU or VAH product lines.
VPU – Phthalate-compliant plasticizer based pigment dispersion
A 100% solids phthalate-compliant plasticizer based pigment dispersion. This dispersion typically has low viscosity, excellent stability, and broad compatibility. Current customers use the VPU series pigment dispersions for plastisol coated fabrics, calendered films and other flexible PVC compounds where phthalate compliance is necessary.
solvent-based
ACS – Universal solvent-based acrylic pigment dispersion
High quality pigment dispersion compromised of an acrylic resin and propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PM) acetate. A proprietary additive package allows the ACS series to be compatible in a wide range of solvent-borne systems, including automotive, architectural, and industrial coatings. A full color range is available.
VR – Solvent-based vinyl resin based pigment dispersion
The VR line is formulated with a blend of MEK solvent and solution vinyl resin. These products are predominately used to pigment solvent-borne vinyl roto-gravure inks for coated fabrics. This product line also finds some use in solvent-borne coatings.
water-based
WWT – Water-based, resin free, low VOC pigment dispersion
Resin-free aqueous pigment dispersion. A proprietary additive package allows WWT to be compatible in systems where typical resins cannot function or may cause incompatibility. This versatile product is used to color coated fabrics systems such as artificial leather. A full color range is available.
